Sofia Coppola In Sunset Strip

Sofia Coppola and friends filming at the legendary Chateau Marmont

Sofia Coppola appears in a new documentary titled Sunset Strip, a mélange of live performances, rare archival footage, personal interviews, and animation that explores the history of one of the most famous streets in Los Angeles. Though the Strip itself runs for just over a mile, the influence of this area on the imaginations of the world is incalculable over the last century. Directed by Hans Fjellestad, Sunset Strip debuted its trailer at the Cannes Film Festival and was shown in March at the South by Southwest Film Festival and in April at the Newport Beach International Film Festival. A few of the celebrities other than Sofia that share their impressions of the Strip in the film are Lou Adler, Tom Arnold, Dan Aykroyd, Alice Cooper, Billy Corgan, Johnny Depp, Pamela Des Barres, Perry Farrell, Peter Fonda, Hugh Hefner, Tommy Lee, Richard Lewis, Courtney Love, Paul Mooney, Ozzy Osbourne, Keanu Reeves, Mickey Rourke, Slash, Sharon Stone, and Dita Von Teese. From riots to rock 'n' roll, from speakeasies to opium dens, Sunset Strip will give you a unique insider's perspective of the area that feels almost like cruising it for yourself. View the trailer.

Sounds like a cool documentary. Did they interview the IWTBAC LA editor-at-large Dara Block? If not, they should have :).
