Sofia Coppola and Consuelo Castiglioni

The fabulous Italian fashion house Marni has joined forces with H&M to bring chic to the masses and Sofia Coppola was chosen to direct the film advertising the brilliant collection. The video was shot in Marrakech in October. Sofia will also style the print campaign, I cannot wait to see her vision for the collection. As the director relates to WWD: "I enjoyed doing this film for the Marni and H&M collaboration. I think it's great how they make fashion accessible and I wanted to show the fantasy fashion can bring. Consuelo Castiglioni seems really sincere and cares about what she does and I appreciated that." Consuelo returns Sofia's compliment: "I'm a big fan of her movies, in particular of her vision and aesthetic. It was fantastic that she worked on this project; her interpretation is remarkable and full of atmosphere." Marni for H&M will be available worldwide on 8 March for at least a few minutes....

"at least a few minutes" LOL how true. Even though I don't pay attention to Marni normally, I am actually curious about this. Sometimes it's the designers that I'd least expect can turn out the best collaborations.
